How to play Klondike Solitaire
Klondike is the classic solitaire card game, often just called “Solitaire”. Move the cards around until all 52 are sorted into four piles, one for each suit.
The goal
Build four piles at the top, one for each suit, from Ace up to King.
How it works
- Build down the seven columns in alternating colors: a red 7 goes on a black 8, a black 6 goes on a red 7, and so on.
- Tap a card and it jumps to its best spot. Press and hold a card to see everywhere it can go.
- Tap the deck for more cards. In Draw 1 you turn over one card at a time, and in Draw 3 you turn over three. When the deck runs out, tap it to go through the cards again.
- Move Aces to the top row as soon as they appear, then 2, 3 and up, in the same suit.
- Only a King can move into an empty column.
Friendly tips
- Turn over the hidden cards first. Every face-down card is a card you cannot use yet.
- Draw 1 is gentler; Draw 3 is a bigger challenge. You can switch whenever you start a new game.
- Do not rush cards up to the top row if you may need them in the columns.
- Tap Hint if you are not sure what to do next, and Undo to take a move back.
- Not every regular deal can be won. If you want a deal that always can, play the Daily.
Today’s puzzle
The Daily deal is the same for everyone today, and it can always be won. It’s on the Kitchen Table home page, with a streak that is kind about rest days.
