How to play Mahjong Solitaire
Mahjong Solitaire is a quiet matching game. Clear the whole table by taking away tiles two at a time, as matching pairs.
The goal
Remove every tile from the table.
How it works
- Look for two tiles with the same picture.
- A tile can only be picked when it is free: nothing sits on top of it, and its left side or its right side is open.
- Tap one free tile, then tap the matching free tile. The pair disappears.
- Keep going until the table is clear. All the Flowers match each other, and so do all the Suns, even though each one looks a little different.
Friendly tips
- Start with tiles in the long rows and tall stacks. Taking those away opens up the tiles underneath.
- When you can see more than one matching pair, pick the pair that frees the most other tiles.
- Tap Hint and a pair that can be matched right now lights up.
- No matches left? Tap Shuffle to mix up the tiles that are still on the table. Undo takes back as many moves as you like.
- New to the game? Try the small Starter table first. When you are ready, New Game lets you choose from 15 tables, from small with big tiles to large with many.
